I am fortunate to receive quite a few orders from Australia, mainly because, many Welsh people migrate to Australia for a better standard of living and to be fair, I have never heard anyone berating their move to Australia. They are enjoying their lives more but understandably miss their family and sending flowers, is sending an emotion. Beautiful flowers are a thoughtful gift and flowers are all about love and friendship.

A beautiful bouquet does make people smile and feel connected, wanted, and loved. 

I am an independent florist based on Cardiff Road in Caerphilly town and my flower shop bears my name Nicola Downie. 

I am not affiliated with any flower gathering network or a relay service.

I purchase the best quality of flowers on the market. I am also a fully trained florist and recognized by The Good Florist Guide, which was set up to recognize excellence within the art of floristry and represents less than 1% of the florists in the UK.

I have always wanted to visit Australia and it is a fascinating country and continent. If I was younger with the knowledge I have now, Australia would look like an amazing country to relocate to. 

A friend of mine has visited Australia several times, and he speaks of Frazer Island, Mudgee, Sydney, Brisbane, and many other cities, towns and until I Googled Australia. I didn’t understand or know about the territories and the borders.

I was amazed by the size and where most of the population lives.

I want to fulfill your flower wishes, both in terms of design, colours, and flowers and to deliver a beautiful floral gift to your loved ones. 

I have a large delivery area and obviously, there is only a limited number of Welsh migrants who have families and loved ones in my delivery areas. If you are unsure about where I will deliver to, you are welcome to email or phone me. I am open 9 am-4 pm Monday to Friday and 9 am-12.00 pm on a Saturday GMT.

What not to do?

If you decide to not use me, then you mustn’t use a flower gathering service or a relay florist. 
It is quite simple.

Your recipient of flowers will not get as good value for money because there are commissions, fees, and memberships to pay, in many if not all cases the relay florist has to use the relay company's overpriced sundries and VAT tax on top, which the florist has to buy or pay. All of these costs are taken out of the order value, which will be over 40%. 

The relay florist in the majority of cases will buy a cheaper stem of flower and it is highly doubtful the number of stems will be exactly like the photoshopped and professionally photographed relay florist graphics.

All but a very few of my floral graphics have been taken by me on my phone. Sometimes the pictures are of orders sitting on my floor, waiting for my delivery driver to return and to deliver. I will deliver same day, as long as I get the order before 3.00 pm. I also have to purchase sundries that mainly form, the wrapping and presentation packaging of which I purchase high quality and recycled where possible. I want my customers to have the best flowers, so I buy the best quality I can, and the floral bouquets I make are brimming with beautiful flowers.
