Send Flowers from Melbourne to Cardiff, Caerphilly, The Rhondda, Blackwood, and up to Tredegar directly from Nicola Downie Florist, Cardiff Road, Caerphilly.16 October 2023My Name is Nicola Downie and that is the name above my shop in Caerphilly. I purchase top-quality flowers, that can be used in a myriad of designs which many are on my website www.nicoladownie.co.uk and I am available by phone and by email. I am a fully trained florist of over 25 years. I was selected by the Good Florist Guide as one of the best florists in the UK and most definitely in South Wales and there are not many of us. I am NOT affiliated with any relay flower service or any flower gathering service. All of the business I do is either by people walking past my shop or online and I have a lot of repeat flower customers. I will create better quality floral designs because I am skilled, top-quality stems do help and I have my own delivery van and I don’t deliver out of my delivery area with some exceptions. The best value for money and the highest quality of flowers will always be supplied by a local florist, which is not affiliated with a relay service or an order-gathering service. The reasons are very simple. All of these third parties charge for a membership, they charge for a website, they charge for all of the sundries that the florist has to pay for and the florist is no longer bound to stem specific flowers. (That means the relay florist can buy any quality of flowers). The only way a florist can make a profit is by lowering the quality of the stems used and the volume of flowers used in the graphic you have just purchased from. It is highly doubtful, that the recipient of the flowers is going to get the representative graphic of flowers or the quality used in the graphics. The recipients seldom if ever complain because they don’t want to embarrass the sender but the bottom line is, that the recipient didn’t receive the quality of flowers the sender purchased and you being the sender have been short-changed. I deliver flowers as far away as Newport and all the way up the Rhondda Valley, I deliver to Pontypridd, Cardiff, and of course in the borough of Caerphilly and obviously the town, as I am based on the high Streed. I am a general florist. I create flowers for all occasions. Be they happy or sad flowers, I use exactly the same quality. I can’t purchase higher quality flowers because I already purchase the highest quality available. I will deliver the same day, as long as I get the flower order before 3:00 pm. I will be perfectly honest and state, it wasn’t an easy journey by refusing to be an affiliate, but my drive was and is to be independent and to give the recipient flowers that will make them smile and have a long life. I want the buyer to be happy, that I give good value and deliver beautiful flowers for special people. I get pleasure from the industry I chose. It can be challenging and every day is different. I never know, who is going to walk through my door, nor do I know, who is going to phone me and I also never know, where in the world, flower orders are going to arrive from, but I do get orders to create and make and at least 40% of my sales are to my 2nd, 3rd and 4th tier delivery areas and I always make sure the flowers are delivered on time. I can see a large Welsh community based in Melbourne, with migration to Australia, especially Melbourne still occurring and common sense denotes, that the Welsh migrants still have family in Wales and some in my delivery area. You have a Welsh Church. A Welsh Choir and social clubs to keep the Welsh language alive and albeit, you have dual citizenship. It is nice to see the culture being embedded in future generations with Welsh speakers. Melbourne must be a fantastic place to live, as the Australian forecasts were dwarfed by the reality of migration applications. Even restaurants cooking specialized Welsh dishes.
