Buy an indoor plant and see if it brings enjoyment into your life, because it may well do.

Planting in tubs, baskets and window boxes gives so many more opportunities, to add to your interest and your love of flowers. In the UK, we are basically confined to the spring and summer. House or home plants can be grown all year round. There are obviously exceptions to this rule, but there is still an opportunity, to add natural colour and in many cases, scent indoors. Some of these plants can be transferred into a garden or window boxes during the summer, and as mature plants, they will go into a natural cycle dependent on light and heat, and you won’t have to water them so much and can continue this cycle.

You might find a plant, that you naturally are drawn to, and you can start to cultivate, and cross-breed and take a tremendous amount of pleasure from that. There are some plants, that you will find, that have a much-preferred situation in your home. My Mother was given an African Violet by a friend. She put this African Violet on a table in the living room and it obviously enjoyed the position and my Mother, then took a cutting and cultivated another plant from the initial cutting. She took great enjoyment from this and the table literally filled up with African Violets and she became zoned in on this one particular plant. She became very proficient in growing them and after a few years, whenever she had a dinner party, the guests received an African Violet to take away with them. Just as my Mother had been introduced to them.

Your plant is waiting for you, or maybe you have already found it.

I have a large selection of garden and indoor plants and I have never met anyone who hated plants. They bring peace, tranquillity, and interest, to the point, that some people become avid growers and lovers of said plant.

Why not pop into the shop and see what I have in stock and take it from there?

It might not be of interest to you, but until you have tried, you will not know. I do get a lot of new-time growers of plants. Most of the plants are fairly sturdy and all that is required is a little of your valuable time, to experience the delight, that so many growers find.
